To have a grocery store in a walking distance is very convenience for us who do not have a car to go to other places to get food. The good thing about the chain stores is that every store in different town is the same, they sell the same things. Safeway is a chain store that sells all kinds of groceries and located on the south of our dorm. When I first got here, the dorms were totally empty, two beds, two drawers, two desks, two chairs, and that’s all. My friend drove me to Wal-Mart the next day to get everything I need. But at night, I figured out that I forgot about getting a tooth brush. And that night was my first time went to the Safeway accompany with my friend. It was a nice walk. The weather feels comfortable, and the distance is short. It only takes less than five minutes to get there. Ever since then, I always like to gather some friends to take a walk with me to Safeway and get some groceries. Ever since we get a refrigerator and a microwave oven, I go to Safeway more often. But the price of the products is not cheap at all. Considering the primary customers are students, Safeway does not lower the prices but higher it instead. Not to mention the fruits are not usually fresh. For example, I usually like getting a box of strawberry, but lots of them have already become moldy already. Students usually don’t have much money. The good thing is it is free to get the membership card. But in general, it is the best place to get groceries if you lives around Adelphi Commons II
